As we’re getting settled in our new house, we still have a lot to do. I need to take a moment and give my dear friends Lennaea Jorgenson-Sood and Gaurav Sood a huge shout out for the hard work they did getting us our “Dream”home. A house that had multiple offers. She took the time to build a strong relationship with the seller. Definitely made this the best experience possible. Everything seemed so easy and the only hard part was the actual labor of moving in with a baby. If anyone is looking for buying or selling, please consider the Sood’s. You won’t regret it.

Gaurav was referred to us by one of our friends. They mentioned to us about how Gaurav had gone above and beyond at the same time ensured that right strategies are implemented at the right time. While we had several options and referrals for an agent, we decided to reach out to Gaurav and meet him over a coffee. Gaurav walked us thru his approach and the process in detail. His personality is kind, understanding, humorous and a great listener. We got along very well. Since we were first time home buyers, we were looking for someone who is more of a guide/mentor than an agent/broker that wants to close the deal ASAP, someone that can help us know the rights/wrongs, pros/cons. We were impressed by Gaurav and his passion towards his job. We decided to take a chance to move forward with him as our agent. 

Gaurav was always patient in answering all our smallest of questions in great detail. Since we both work and have a 5 year old, we could only look for homes at specific times. Soon we also realized that in this crazy home market it’s not easy to find homes and if at all a home comes up on the market and you like it, then you need to act fast. Considering our work schedules and the pace of home hunting we initially thought it would be stressful, but thanks for Gaurav for being available at any time round the clock to answer our questions and making himself available to go see homes with us. Gaurav got us appointments scheduled at random/ad-hoc times based on our availability. He never denied or pushed back on the times we gave him. Gaurav ensured we were his priority. I remember a time when his wife was sick and he had to take care of his daughters but he took time for us to show the home. Gaurav gave us a solid understanding about things like the roof of a home, furnace, general inspection etc. which we would otherwise have not known or other agents would not care to explain us in the level of detail that Gaurav provided us with. 

Whenever we liked a home, Gaurav guided us thru the process. He provided us the strategies we need to go after in putting down an offer. In this market where 99% of the time you are up against a multiple offer situation or over 75% of the time there are cash offers you are fighting against. And Gaurav gave us some amazing options and strategies to play against such situations. We began our search in mid- Jan and by mid-March we are owners of our dream home in one of the very beautiful neighborhoods of Kirkland. It’s still hard to believe we beat over 9 offers and a cash offer we were up against. In the end we were still within our budget on this dream home. Gaurav diligently followed-up thru the entire process until closing was done. He was coordinating with our mortgage company, escrow company etc. as much as we were to ensure a smooth transition. By now he is more of a family to us. 

To summarize, during the home hunting process the agent and you need to be a strong team. It’s more like guiding, motivating and encouraging each other patiently and adopting the right strategies depending on the situation to create a win-win for us as well as the sellers. Gaurav’s personality makes him a great team player. He is more like the playing coach of a team. We (including our 5 year old) have high regards for him. His passion towards his work, his approach to push for the best and provide excellent service to us was simply phenomenal. We recommend Gaurav to anyone that is looking to either buy or sell a home.
