As we’re getting settled in our new house, we still have a lot to do. I need to take a moment and give my dear friends Lennaea Jorgenson-Sood and Gaurav Sood a huge shout out for the hard work they did getting us our “Dream”home. A house that had multiple offers. She took the time to build a strong relationship with the seller. Definitely made this the best experience possible. Everything seemed so easy and the only hard part was the actual labor of moving in with a baby. If anyone is looking for buying or selling, please consider the Sood’s. You won’t regret it.

Gaurav & Lennaea advised me to let the seller sleep over it rather than raise our offer..

We’ve been looking for a house for the past one year and we’ve worked with at least two different agents in the last year. However given the flourishing housing market with a limited budget and an unwillingness to compromise on the dream home, it was understandably quite difficult to get the right house. 

The first agent simply did not understand the market and as a result we lost two houses even before we could make an offer. Now, in a normal market such timelines would be reasonable, but not in the market we were trying to buy a house in.

The second agent we worked with, did not provide the required guidance on how much to make and offer for. Even with our best guesses, we’d often be outbid.

Then a friend who had very good words for Gaurav Sood & Lennaea Sood referred us to them. We spoke to them and I was immediately impressed with their enthusiasm about getting us a house.

Finally a house came around, it was priced just right and had everything we wanted. I called Gaurav and he was immediately available to show us the house. Once we saw the house, Gaurav was able to immediately judge that it would be a popular listing. (Zillow data showed that this was among the top 10 most popular house in the zip code, during that period).

We went back and decided to go ahead with the offer. From then on wards, Gaurav drove the whole show. I don’t know how he came up with the strategy to have the sellers accept or deny our offer before the review date, but it worked. We had the sellers attention. Gaurav advised me on the price and the eventual negotiation. The sellers verbally rejected our offer initially, however Gaurav advised me to let the seller sleep over it rather than raise our offer (which I was almost willing to do). Sure enough, the sellers accepted our offer the next day.

We were able to secure the house without a bidding war, which is a given in the current 98029 housing market for good houses.

Gaurav, went above and beyond what I’ve seen or heard any agent do. He was proactive, and available to talk to at a moments notice. He was on top of things throughout the whole process and gave me advise that I hugely appreciate. 

We loved working with him, and his “can do” attitude is infectious.
