the question that keeps coming up and we keep getting asked. The question is, when the economy going to recover? I feel it’s important to look at the facts. The American economy is like someone hit the pause button. Very different from 2008. The 2008 crash came fast and we had to rebuild the housing and mortgage market. It was like a tsunami came and wiped out the housing market clean. Now, we are at hut, but eventually we’ll be going back to work. So, it’s a different type of recovery. Goldman Sachs, J.P Morgan, and Morgan Stanley are calling for a rapid V-type of recovery. John Burns Consulting, a major consulting firm in real estate industry has studied past pandemics and they state, “Historical analysis showed us that pandemics “are usually V-shaped. “Which means, sharp recession that recover quickly enough “to provide little damage to home prices. “And, some very cutting-edge search analysis “by our information management team showed “the current slowdown is playing out similarly thus far.” Also, Harvard Business Review states, it’s worth looking back at history to place the potential impact path of COVID-19 empirically. In fact, V-shape monopolizes the empirical landscape of prior shocks. Including, epidemics such as SARS, Hong Kung flu 1968, H2N2 Asian Flu, 1958. And, the great Spanish Flu. So, in past pandemics we saw V-shaped patterns. So yes, it’s a crazy world right now, everyone has been delayed, and everything is put on pause. So, experts are anticipating once the pandemic restriction and people go back to work and still want to buy homes, that the housing market will go back to normal. Here I am, not giving my opinion, I’m just stating what experts are saying. And, I thought I could be some service to you. Feel free to reach out to me or Lennaea with any questions or concerns.
